This offer includes a total of 10 pounds of shrimp tails packed in 20 trays with each tray weighing 1/2 pounds each. Large shrimp tails are simply shrimp that have been de headed. They still have the outer shell around the tail, legs and the vein has not been removed. These tails are ideal for cooking where extra flavor is desired.

After a hiatus, we took advantage of a sale and bought 10 pounds of large headless shrimp. To my surprise, the shrimp also came without shells. Made less work for me. The shrimp arrived on time and cold, no small feat since I live on an island and shipments must arrive by ferry. Packaged Monday and on my doorstep late Wednesday afternoon.

I love to share my Sun Shrimp. I decided to poach 3lbs and chill for the Super Bowl gathering. I brought to boil 3 cups vinegar, 2 cans beer, 4 cups water, coarse sea salt and Old Bay seasoning. Then took off the burner and poached the Sun Shrimp for about 6 minutes. Dropped in ice water bath shelled and deveined. Sweet and firm delicious. Served with cocktail sauce.

I recently decided to stop eating meat to include fish due to all the antibiotics etc. I really didnt miss meat but I did miss fish, especially as sushi and of course shrimp for ceviche. After doing my research, I found Sun Shrimp and quickly ordered 20lbs. I was shocked that it was sent out so quickly and even more that it was harvested a day or so prior to being shipped. Taste is great, packaging is perfect in half pound vacuum sealed. I will order from again.
